07 - Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

# Expert Advice:

  • It tastes like takeout but costs a fraction and fuels you way better.
  • Leftovers reheat beautifully, and somehow taste even more flavorful the next day.
02 -
  • Dont skip browning the turkey properly, those little crispy bits add so much flavor to the bowl.
  • Add the garlic after the onion and pepper or it will burn and turn bitter in the hot pan.
  • If your turkey releases a lot of liquid, let it cook off before adding the seasoning so the spices stick instead of pooling.
  • Dice your avocado right before serving or it will turn brown and look sad sitting out.
03 -
  • Toast your spices in the dry skillet for 30 seconds before adding the turkey, it makes them smell incredible and taste even deeper.
  • Use a potato masher to break up the turkey instead of a spatula, it creates the perfect crumbly texture.
  • Let the turkey rest in the pan for a minute after cooking so it stays juicy instead of drying out when you scoop it.
  • Always taste before serving and adjust the salt or lime, those final tweaks make all the difference.
